Resident Contact FAQ: Migration to Akssi 5.0
- What is AKSSI?
- AKSSI is a system used by staff to analyze daily ADL (Activities of Daily Living) services provided and detect subtle changes in residents’ condition. It also helps to communicate those conditions and any supply needs for the residents to their designated contacts.
- Do I need to update the Akssi app or download a new Akssi app?
- Yes. You will need to first delete the current Akssi app from your device. Then, follow the instructions below to download the new Akssi app.
- What does the new icon for the Akssi 5.0 app look like?
- Will this change how often “daily snapshots” are performed for your loved one?
- No. The Carriages teams' goal is still to perform these daily for each resident
- Is any of the functionality changing with the migration to this new version?
- Yes, in a positive way! This new version allows for multiple resident contacts to be associated with a resident. For example, if your mother is a resident at Carriages and both you and your brother would like to have access to the Akssi app, the leadership team at Carriages can now add additional resident contacts so that both of you can have access.
- If there are multiple resident contacts associated with a resident, do both receive supply requests?
- No. Only one resident contact can receive the supply requests. If you wish to change who that person is, you will need to contact the Carriages Executive Director to have them change who is set to receive the supply requests.
- Will this change how I am kept informed about my loved one?
- No. You will be informed of your loved one through the app the same way as before. Staff will also communicate with you directly as needed.
Still have questions? Contact the Carriages Crossing office and ask to speak to the Executive Director.
